Mask makers in action. I’ve wanted to reach out

Mask makers in action. I’ve wanted to reach out to you guys for a couple of days now to share what your support has meant to our staff, our family and our business but each time I try I end up so overwhelmed with emotion I can’t the words down in a post. Bare with me as I ramble through this one but here it goes... Our business is small and our staff size is small but the effects of being closed are big. We have not and will not receive any grants or loans so we buckle down and do the best we can under the circumstances. Masks making has played an important part in “getting through” this time. These two gals are your curbside pick-up mask makers. I also make masks but I focus on filling your online orders and am here in the store shipping and maintaining our curbside pick-up.
Marissa (in the first photo) is the wife of our custom furniture wood worker Garrett. They are expecting their first baby any day now. She is sewing tirelessly to supply our community with masks and to supplement their lost wages during our shut down. The other gal hiding behind her mask and sunglasses is Lynne. She works in the store (when we are open) and has been my shipping “gal Friday”. She is also sewing to provide you with a great selection of masks and to supplement her lost wages. They are sourcing their own materials and working from their homes, 100% of the $12 from each mask sale goes directing to them. It has been inspiring to see you stop by and pick up masks from them and your purchases have allowed us to help them out with an income during this pandemic. (that’s the part the gets me all choked up when I share it with you) The online sales are helping us pay the other bills here at 141 this month. We thank you!! We’ve also received help from a dear friend who has sourced supplies that have been hard to find in order to keep our production moving along. (again, more emotions welling up inside)
We have enjoyed making masks for you and are doing our best to create unique/happy masks. We will continue as long as you need us to and will have another restock tomorrow morning.
